What’s Coming Up?

Sept. 30th-Dec. 6th: READvolution See e-mail sent on 10/13 for instructions

for logging in for students to record their reading data through 12/6.

October 17th:

Join Brassfield families for McTeacher Night at McDonalds at 9698 Falls of Neuse Road on Thursday, October 17th from 5:00-8:00 PM to help support our PTA! **We will see most of you on our Teacher Workdays (prior to students returning) for conferences. E-mail reminders were send out 10/17. Let us know if you have questions or need to reschedule. Thanks! Oct. 22nd: TRACK IN Day for Track 4: Quarter 2 begins!

Oct. 24th: Curriculum Cafe Night: 5-7 PM for K-5th:You will have an opportunity to participate in math and literacy curriculum tasks similar to those that students are doing in our classroom. You are also welcome to visit other grade levels and see what is ahead for your child. This is a family friendly event. There will be pizza available for purchase and raffle prizes!

Oct. 30th: Historic Oakview County Park Field Trip (Tracks 2 & 4 /Gr 2) E-mail

Nov. 4th-14th: Brassfield Book Fair

Nov. 11th: Veterans Day Holiday: All WCPSS schools are closed.

Nov. 20th: Cultural Arts Program in the morning on campus.

Nov. 27th-29th: Thanksgiving Holiday

SPIRIT WEEK DETAILS:

MONDAY 10/28: TEAM JERSEY DAY

• Wear your favorite team jersey or colors.

TUESDAY 10/29: MOVIE STAR & MUSTACHE DAY

• Come to school dressed fancy, like a movie star.
• Don’t want to dress fancy...wear a mustache for the day!

WEDNESDAY 10/30: TWIN DAY

• Pick someone to be your twin for the day.
• Dress in similar clothes, wear your hair the same, etc!

THURSDAY 10/31: BOOK CHARACTER PARADE

• The Book Character Parade is at 9:30am.
• Come dressed as your favorite book character.
• Be sure to bring the book that goes with your character!

FRIDAY 11/1: BLUE & YELLOW DAY

• Dress in your Brassfield Spirit or in school colors: blue & yellow!
